Bad Driburg offers you the best conditions for running, walking, Nordic walking and hiking. This tour takes you around the multi-award-winning Gräflicher Park.

With a total of 8 running and walking routes with different levels of difficulty and a length of 3.6 to 20.6 kilometers, the Bad Driburg health and fitness trail invites you to run, walk and hike. With its different designs, it offers you the opportunity to exercise and do something for your health for all ages, depending on your individual performance and training level. Beginners, advanced and competitive athletes can choose the right route for their Nordic walking, walking or running training or for a hike according to various criteria.

Tour 1 takes you on a flat route through Gräflicher Park, which was voted one of the top five in the "Germany's most beautiful park" competition in 2009 and is the anchor garden of the "European Garden Heritage Network".

On your tour through the 65-hectare park, you can discover references to Bad Driburg's most famous guests: Friedrich Hölderlin and his "Diotima" Susette Gontard, who stayed in Bad Driburg for several weeks in 1796, and Annette von Droste-Hülshoff, who took a cure in Bad Driburg in 1813 and 1818.

The large pond with bridges and the "Diotima" island, which is located opposite the Hölderlin grove, and the newly created forest stage, which is integrated into the park by a haha ditch, are extremely attractive.

Since 2009, Piet Oudolf's perennial and grass garden, which looks like a wild meadow, has been meandering in the south-western part of the park. It is the only publicly accessible garden by the world-famous garden artist in Germany.
