The A2 hiking trail near Lichtenau is a 12.4-kilometre circular tour that opens up a variety of landscapes from stream valleys to nature reserves.
From the start at the outdoor pool, the trail leads north via "Am Schurenberg" above the Odenheimer Bach stream. The route then circles the Eselsbett nature reserve and the Schwarze Bruch before crossing the K26. The route continues in a southerly direction, safely passing the B68, and the path leads down into the Sauertal valley, following the stream valley back to Lichtenau.
