As the name suggests, the 33 km cycle tour focuses on Hövelhof's churches and chapels. In addition to the large churches in Hövelhof and its districts, the tour also includes small, privately owned chapels and even an entire replica of a chapel, which was mainly built by volunteers. Each building has its own impressive history.
The following stops await you along the cycle tour:
- St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church
- St. John's Protestant Church
- Hövelsenn Chapel
- St.Nikolaus-Kapelle im Salvator Kolleg
- Rodehuths Kapelle
- Herz-Jesu-Kirche Espeln
- Herz-Jesu-Kirche Riege
- Kapelle auf dem Oberramselhof
- Bredemeiers Kapelle
The cycle tour is not signposted with its own route logo, but runs along existing and well-developed cycle paths.
The accompanying flyer clearly shows the route. You can obtain this from the Hövelhof Tourist Information Office, Schlossstraße 11, 33161 Hövelhof or at www.hoevelhof.de

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author
For groups of at least 6 to a maximum of 15 people, a stop at the so-called "Hell", the nickname of the traditional Tölkemeier restaurant "Im Krug zum grünen Kranze" in the Hövelhof district of Espeln, is recommended about halfway through the tour. Fittingly with a spicy "devil's soup" or the home-made hearty stews for which the "Hölle" is known. For inquiries and advance bookings, please call 05294 340 one week in advance.
