Take the train from Höxter to the starting point of your cycle tour in Bad Driburg. Shortly after the train station, you will see the Gräflicher Park in Bad Driburg on the left-hand side. You should definitely take some time to visit the multi-award-winning gardens in the style of an English landscape park.
The rest of the route to Höxter runs gently downhill and takes you through the valley of the Nethe and its tributaries from Riesel onwards. On the way, you will also pass the old Hanseatic town of Brakel and the Höxter villages of Bruchhausen and Godelheim. The last few kilometres take you along the Weser to Höxter.
The landscape between Bad Driburg and Brakel is hilly and wooded, while the section between Höxter and Brakel is characterised by fields and meadows.
