The HW3 leads through 6.5 kilometers of forest - a compact loop for walkers or short hikes.

From the parking lot at the bus turnaround area, the route initially follows the district road westwards for a while before turning into Klostermannweg. It then turns right onto a path parallel to the district road and continues to Eiser Weg, where it crosses the district road. Following Eiser Weg to the north, the route turns left after a while, then right again until it crosses Eiser Weg again. Continue over the railroad line to the L817, which you follow parallel back to the starting point;
