The certified circular hiking trail "Heideland" promises one thing from start to finish: pure nature!
The original alpine pasture landscape with its alternating dunes and valleys, open heathland and pine forests and wet meadows in the stream valleys makes the nature reserve a scenic destination for excursions. Especially in August, when the heath is in full bloom, you can experience a colorful natural spectacle. The highlight of the hike are the Ems springs, which emerge to the surface as small seepage springs in an approximately 500 m long spring area.
If you like, you can make the Ems springs bubble up yourself using a model in the nearby Ems Info Center.
The Moosheide nature reserve is home to many rare plant and animal species. If you keep your eyes open, you might spot one of them along the way.
