you on this interesting circular tour. Picturesque rows of trees lead to dreamy, small farm forests in the sparsely wooded district of Herford. Much is being done to protect particularly beautiful individual trees. Woody features can also be found in hedges and pollarded willows, parks and in rows of alders near streams.

Start at the station Neue Mühle
cross the tracks (bridge) and then follow the railway cycle path in a southerly direction, always parallel to the tracks, until you reach Högerfeldweg shortly after the sports field in Rüschen
turn left, continue to Donoer Straße
turn left, continue on the RadKultour Route via Bunte-Mühlen-Weg to the avenue "Am Röbekamp" (right)
Am Röbekamp, turns into Habighorster Weg until the junction with Südholzstraße, turn right here
Ride along Südholzstraße to the end, then turn left onto Bökelfeld (RadKultour Route)
on the RadKultour Route past Gut Böckel to the small parking lot in Voßholz
turn right here onto the forest path, continue through the forest to Waghorst
here turn left briefly onto Waghorster Straße, then immediately turn right again onto the road "In Grothaus Feld"
continue via "Im Bursiek" to Bursiek: Here turn right onto "Walske Bruch" as far as Bruchmühlener Straße
turn left immediately right again onto Westkilverstraße
pass Haus Kilver, then turn right onto Sachsenweg and follow the Wittekindsroute as far as Rödinghausen
turn left behind the cemetery: "Zum Nonnenstein", then a short distance further on via "In der Gele" turn right into the Wiehengebirge
on the Kammweg (Wittekindsweg) to the refuge, turn left there, shortly afterwards half right downhill to Bünder Straße (Hansastr.)
Turn left opposite into Neue Mühler Weg and you return to Neue Mühle station
