The Leistrup Forest, in the east of Detmold, is one of the most species-rich forest areas in the Lippe region and a popular excursion destination for families. The forest adventure trail offers lots of hiking fun for young and old alike!

The forest adventure trail has a total of 11 different stations where not only children can learn about the forest and its inhabitants. Various installations invite visitors to explore forest themes, discover new things and compete with forest dwellers. The barefoot trail and the long jump facility in particular allow children to get close to nature and test their own skills.
