- Start: Hunting lodge, Holte Castle
- Destination: Externsteine, Horn-Bad Meinberg
From the Holte hunting lodge, which now houses private apartments, we cycle through the Holte forest and the magnificent Senneland landscape. The Furlbach valley near Augustdorf takes us into a bizarre dune landscape.
After a comfortable crossing of the Teutoburg Forest through the so-called Dörenschlucht gorge, we arrive near the cultural town of Detmold, at the foot of the Hermann monument. The tour takes us past other worthwhile destinations: the Heiligenkirchen bird park, the LWL open-air museum in Detmold and the Berlebeck eagle sanctuary, which is Europe's oldest bird of prey sanctuary.
We cycle through the Teutoburg Forest to Horn-Bad Meinberg. On the way to the stage finish, we pass the legendary Externsteine, one of the landmarks of the Teutoburg Forest and a place of spiritual power.Waypoints
