The tour leads past Thomas Church, the beaver pond and the waterworks into the Kleine Aue nature reserve.
Take the L770 country road to the first barbecue area "An den Wiesen". The route then continues north to the Tonnenheide wedding mill. The mill is no longer in operation and is now used for weddings. A nice picnic is also possible here.
If you prefer coffee and cake, the Kaffeehus in'n Strouhe is the place to go. Continuing south along the Tonnheider Straße cycle path, you can take a break in the beer garden of an inn in Schmalge. You can also enjoy a picnic at the Dauweg barbecue area.
On the way back to Espelkamp town center, you can be inspired by the artistically designed facades. If you are still hungry and thirsty, you can end the day in one of the inns and restaurants in the city center.

- The Kaffeehus in'n Strouhe was once a barn. Where grain used to be stored, there are now pies, cakes and wild herb specialties.
