The cycle route starts in Alt Espelkamp and leads along country lanes to the southwest, where a beautiful forest and lake landscape awaits visitors. The Kleihügelsee is a bathing lake with a beach and sunbathing lawns. Directly next to it is the Auesee, which is a nature reserve. The route continues west along fields and meadows to Schnakenpohl in Varlheide. The pond and moor landscape is located in a nature reserve and offers a great nature experience. Nearby is the "Zum goldenen Hecht" inn, where you can fortify yourself for the rest of the route and play a round of mini golf. On the way back, you head to the floodplain renaturation area, where the large floodplain is allowed to be what it is - a floodplain. Finally, the Jewish cemetery is on the way, where old gravestones remind us of the former Jewish community.
