At the Hotel im Loh, Restaurant Albersmeyer in the Espelkamp district of Frotheim, where you can enjoy delicious schnitzel or schnitzel variations, a cycle tour begins through beautiful countryside, a moor, old half-timbered houses and modern farms.
The route heads north to the small local museum "Brammeyers Scheune". There you can admire old half-timbering and a thatched roof.
Passing former sand pits and the old Stellerrieger school, you reach one of the most valuable fens in NRW, the "Alte Frotheimer Moor". During a short break, you can experience a concert of tree frogs, spadefoot toads, lapwings, snipe and native songbirds.
Continue your ride past modern wind turbines and pause briefly at a game reserve before heading west along Osterheider Straße to the Frotheim landmark of the old Frotheimer Klus.
From the village square opposite, you can admire the half-timbered building of the 200-year-old chapel.
The last kilometer to the starting point is a former beaten path, which was used by children and teachers to hold religious instruction in the cloister at the time.
