The tour, which is around 50 kilometers long, starts in Steinheim and runs from there via Wöbbel, Schieder, Lügde, Bad Pyrmont, Löwensen, Thal, Welsede, Amelgatzen and Hämelschenburg to Emmerthal, following the course of the Emmer. Baroque buildings such as the castle gardens of Schieder Castle, Lake Schiedersee, the award-winning Bad Pyrmont spa gardens, Weser Renaissance buildings such as the famous Hämelschenburg castle, rare animal and plant species and historical events such as the secret wedding of Prince William, heir to the English throne, in 1791, make for a highly varied and entertaining cycling excursion.
The route takes you through green meadows and idyllic villages and you can indulge your taste buds in the numerous restaurants. A very special experience also awaits you: a ford crossing! At the end point in Emmerthal, there is also a connection to the Weser Cycle Path or the option of taking the S-Bahn back to Steinheim.
Of course, the tour can also start in Emmerthal and lead from there to Steinheim.
