The A2 hiking trail near Altenbeken is a 4.2-kilometre circular tour through the Durbeke valley - ideal for a short, natural hike accompanied by a stream.

From the Durbeke hiking parking lot, the trail first leads southwest parallel to the Durbeke before entering the forest and following two large bends. It then continues to the Bekergrund and east along the Beke stream. After the bridge, the route turns left and leads past the forester's lodge back to the starting point. The route combines quiet sections of stream with gentle forest paths and is easy to follow for a relaxed short tour.
