The A8 hiking trail near Dalheim is a 3.9-kilometre loop along the renaturalized Altenau, ideal for a short nature break.
From the parking lot at the Husen-Dalheim flood retention basin, the route initially runs above the basin in an easterly direction along the renaturalized Altenau to the parking lot on district road 69. If you wish, you can plan a detour to the Annenkapelle chapel on the opposite side. From the parking lot, the trail leads south of the Altenau back to the starting point. The route is easy to walk and offers both enjoyment of nature and small cultural highlights over a short distance.
