Dalheim | Hiking trail A3

From the starting point, the route initially leads north along the "Am Heyersberg" road and turns right into the forest above the arboretum onto the "Lichtenauer Kirchweg". At the edge of the forest, turn right onto the "Die Große Trift" path to the south, where the A3 meets the A2 hiking trail and the route continues together. Past the 13-Linden-Hütte to the district border, over the A44 into the Piepenbachtal valley, then turn right into the Bachtal valley and past the Apfelbaumgrund nature reserve and Dalheim cemetery back to the starting point. A visit to the monastery and a stop at the monastery restaurant round off the hike.
