From Dalheim Monastery, the route takes you past the arboretum and out onto the Amerunger Feld. Through the valley of the Altenau you reach the Amerung Chapel. From there, the route leads back up to the Amerunger Feld and then back to the monastery via the tranquil Tiggesgrund.

The square in front of the Amerung Chapel, where you have a beautiful view of the Altenau valley, is ideal for a break. The small baroque building, also known as the Annenkapelle, was built in 1669. The single-nave room has a plastered wooden barrel vault. The baroque high altar dates from 1674.
