The starting point is the InnovationSPIN on Campus Boulevard. The route continues along Bunsenstraße. This is also where the venue of Bundesliga handball team TBV Lemgo Lippe is located, the Phoenix Contact Arena with its notorious "witches' cauldron".
On arrival at the Bunsenstraße traffic circle, we turn left until we see a crosswalk on the right. We cross this and the Braker Weg level crossing and continue straight ahead until the Erlentreff becomes visible after a slight left-hand bend.
A modern parkour and bouldering facility awaits us there in the Auenpark. An ideal change of pace and a real challenge for all climbing fans and parkour athletes.
Along the banks of the Bega, across the Bega bridge, we come to Regenstorplatz. We leave this event location, which also serves as a parking lot, on our right to reach the Lindenwall via a small pedestrian path until a pedestrian traffic light allows us to go straight ahead onto the Kastanienwall.
At the end of this section of the wall is a traffic circle, which we leave on the right to arrive at the Ostertor with its Kanzlerbrunnen fountain.
This is also the entrance area to the Mittelstraße pedestrian zone with its
numerous renovated half-timbered houses. Shopping, feasting and simply enjoying is the motto.
On the left-hand side, another building of historic architecture becomes visible: the historic town hall on the atmospheric market square. Cross the market square, Lemgo's gastronomic meeting point, keep right and turn into Kramerstraße
at the beginning of which, less than 20 meters from the market square, you will find the tourist information office on the right.
We cross the crosswalk there into Breite Straße. Here, too, the restaurants invite you to linger. Later, the Hexenbürgermeisterhaus follows on the right. Opposite the hotel, turn left into the Abteigarten, where every last weekend in June and every year at the end of August there is a lively and extensive celebration with the Strohsemmelfest and Abteigartenfest. But even without festivals, it is wonderful to take a break in the beer garden there.
From there, you return to the Langenbrücker Tor and the Bega bridge.
After crossing it, turn left along the romantic banks of the Bega back through the Auenpark, over the Erlentreff, the level crossing and the traffic circle right into Bunsenstraße.
After a few more hundred meters, we reach our starting point again.
