The approximately 3 km long marked circular trail leads through the Blotenberg in a varied way, with sections along the Schwarzbach stream and the Teutoburg Forest.

From the hiking parking lot at the comprehensive school, head towards Teutoburger-Wald-Weg. There you can see the Diakoniewerk Werther - the Waldheimat. The "Protestant girls' home Werther" has been located here since 1904. Today it is home to the Ummeln Protestant Foundation, a facility for people with disabilities. The AWO forest kindergarten is also located on the site. There are wonderful views of Werther from the Blotenberg. Parts of the trail run alongside the Schwarzbach stream. Hikers can enjoy the gentle rushing of the stream and the natural surroundings to the full on this trail.

Directions

The circular hiking trail starts at the hiking parking lot on Meyerfeld street (parking lot of the P.A.B. comprehensive school). From there, head towards Teutoburger-Wald-Weg, past Hof Venghaus and Waldheimat into the forest. Follow the green signposts. Pass the Blotenberg water reservoir in the direction of the Isingdorf district. At the "Isingdorfer Weg" road, the hiking trail turns around and leads back to the starting point. On the way back, you walk parallel to the Schwarzbach stream in sections. The finish point is - as at the start - the hiking parking lot at the comprehensive school.

The circular hiking trail is well signposted in both directions.
