Destination: Gasthof Zum Kuhkamp, Römerstraße 23, 33758 SHS

The bowling route takes you along the Mittweg and the Tölkenweg towards "Kuhkämper". Although there is a small incline to overcome, where the game has to be briefly suspended, this certainly doesn't detract from the conviviality!

The rules are very simple, because Boßeln is like bowling or boccia on the street. Two teams take it in turns to throw the boßel ball along the course, with the team behind having the first throw. The next throw is always from the spot where the boßel ball came to rest. The team that covers the distance with fewer throws wins.

The classic meal after a game of bowls is hearty kale. Enjoy this at the Zum Kuhkamp restaurant, phone 05207 4421. Boßel is only reasonable on this route from October to April, due to the heavy arrival and departure traffic from Safariland. However, the winter months are the usual months for bowls anyway.
