Today, the game of Boßeln is becoming increasingly popular, whether in clubs, as an unusual company outing or on private occasions. Young and old meet up for a fun and sociable game, often equipped with a handcart and provisions for an unusual day out. The circular route shows the cultural and historical landscape of Stukenbrock and leads along routes with little traffic.

The rules are very simple, because Boßeln is like bowling or boccia on the street. Two teams take it in turns to throw the boßel ball along the course, with the team behind having the first throw. The next throw is always from the spot where the boßel ball came to rest. The team that covers the distance with fewer throws wins.

A landing net for the balls is required for this course! Play equipment and handcarts can be hired from FC Stukenbrock on 05257 2429.

Directions & Parking facilities

A 33 to Stukenbrock Senne (exit 23). Keep heading north (Stukenbrock). From Paderbornar Straße, turn left onto Rahmkeweg before the Brinkkapelle chapel at Bisplinghoff until you reach Stallfeld, then keep left. The starting point is located after approx. 1 km at the southernmost tip of the path at the edge of the forest.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

The crossroads between Am Stallfeld and Rahmkeweg has just been renovated! As part of this Boßeltour, you will cross one of the typical Senne streams, the Rahmkebach, twice, which later drains into the young Ems as the "Sennebach".

Safety guidelines

Despite the low-traffic route, please watch out for car traffic, especially on the Rahmkeweg. Use the roads and paths at your own risk.
