Historic buildings and facilities characterize the old town center along the way. The St. Jacobi Church, the Storck House and the memorial are listed buildings. The Schwarzbach stream runs through the Mühlenwiese meadow between the town hall and HAUS WERTHER. Art objects on the sculpture trail can be found from the town park to the HAUS WERTHER citizens' meeting place with the town library, archive and registry office. The entire complex was originally a manor and small aristocratic residence. The highlight on Schloßstraße (no. 111) is the Peter August Böckstiegel Museum. The artist's house has been supplemented by a modern museum building. Those interested in art should also plan a stop at the artist's house, which is well worth seeing, and the Café-Bistro Vincent. A detour along the Böckstiegel Trail to the Deppendorf Watermill (stop 17 on the Böckstiegel Trail) is also worthwhile.

- The circular hiking trail starts at the hiking parking lot on Meyerfeld street (parking lot of the P.A.B. comprehensive school). Walk along the outdoor pool through the underpass, past St. Jacobi Church and from there towards the city park. Through the Mühlenwiese green space, where you can stop off at the playground with children, you reach HAUS WERTHER. In the direction of Siegfriedstraße, past the sewage treatment plant, the hiker crosses fields, woods and meadows to Sudheideweg and Schloßstraße. The highlight on Schloßstraße (no. 111) is the Peter August Böckstiegel Museum. The artist's house has been supplemented by a modern museum building. The return route leads past the dog park on Heinrichstraße via Süthfeld, Mehrwiese and Oststraße through the Schwarzbachtal residential area. Back through the Mühlenwiese green corridor, the hiker is led into the historic city center and returns to the starting point, the hiking parking lot at the P.A.B. comprehensive school, via the underpass at the outdoor pool.
