  • Destination: Herzebrock monastery complex
Experience the Gütersloh park landscape with its typical farmsteads, parks and avenues. The R 19 takes you on a flat route with no inclines past the two former monasteries in Herzebrock and Clarholz, the nuclei of today's two districts.

The Gütersloh parkland on the eastern edge of Münsterland is ideal for cyclists. On the approx. 35 km long route, you will not only find peace and relaxation in beautiful surroundings, but can also immerse yourself in the history and origins of the municipality. The route takes you through both former monastery complexes - Herzebrock Monastery, founded in 860 as a canon monastery, and Clarholz Premonstratensian Monastery, founded in 1133.
