The A2 hiking trail to the south of Schwaney is a compact 2.5-kilometre loop that mainly takes you through natural meadow and field landscapes along the Ellerbach stream.

From the old forester's lodge, the route heads south parallel to the Ellerbach stream. The path makes a bend and crosses the stream before leading through open meadows and fields back to the starting point. The route is easy to walk, quiet and ideal for short walks or a quick round in the countryside.
