This circular trail connects Alfen's town center with quiet forest paths and small cultural sites such as the old castle and Wilhelmsburg estate.

Follow Salzkottener Straße into the center of the village, then out of the village via "Am Kottenberg" and past the St. Vitus Chapel. Then follow the Lindenweg and walk a short distance to the left along the L752 to the traffic circle. There the path leads into the forest and runs above the former Imbsenburg castle. Continue to Gut Wilhelmsburg, from where the Imbsenburgweg leads south. At the next crossroads, turn left onto Im Alten Felde and then right at the next bend back towards Alfen. Via Hellenberg, past the cemetery, you return to the starting point.
