In their new program "Schief ist das neue G'rade" ("Crooked is the new straight"), the Stichlinge say some things straight. The cabaret ensemble tries to straighten out what often sounds crooked with wit and meticulousness. On the political stage, the right seems to be the new left in some places these days. And perhaps climate change is bringing us the new coal with photovoltaics? In any case: stupid is the new gifted - according to the Stichlinge. For over 57 years, the ensemble has been finding the right words to present current problems and grievances in a politically satirical way - and at its very best! Something is brewing in (political) Germany! A ratatouille with ingredients that really pack a punch. AFD? - but only according to the German purity law. Old-timer Merz has to go to the TÜV, while our quiet pedal muffles the sound. What to do with a balcony power station without a balcony? Climate glue for climate protectors at a bargain price. The Bundeswehr is looking for solutions: Wagner troops instead of a volunteer army? Lauterbach's strokes of genius - a source of inspiration: healthy hospitals (an oxymoron?) and compulsory vaccination against AI! Discussions at the regulars' table: "Zero desire for everything". "We've got it!" Is this megalomania or the end of false modesty? He who believes is blessed and school is becoming an educational adventure. Fortunately, things are looking up, at least with inflation, interest rates, insolvency and VAT. The tried-and-tested ensemble of Kirsten Gerlhof, Birger Hausmann, Martin Janke and Stephan Winkelhake will be joined in 2024 by Annika Hus (after a creative break) and newcomer Peter Reinhold.
