The wych elm standing on the Ernsting farm is mistakenly called the "Langingen lime tree" by the locals. Experts estimate its age to be around 600 years. Measured one meter above the ground, the circumference of the tree is more than seven meters. Between 1930 and 1940, the giant, which was leaning more and more to one side, was supported by three T-beams resting on concrete blocks at the expense of the Minden-Lübbecke district and placed under nature protection.
