Mill
The Rürupsmühle is powered by water from the Mittelbach stream, which is stored in a mill pond. The first documentary reference says that it already existed in 1587, but it is not known when it was actually built. It was taken over by the association in semi-derelict condition and restored from 1982 until it was ready for operation. The reopening took place in March 1984. It has been working regularly again since then. The internal water wheel is top-running. The grinding gear made of artificial stone is driven by an upright gear. There is also a miller's apartment and a journeyman's chamber in the mill building. Rürupsmühle is the only mill in the district of Herford that is still powered by a water wheel.

The Wiebesiek bakery previously stood on the Wiebesiek farm in Vlotho-Valdorf on the border with Lippe. It was built in 1841. It was dismantled in 1981 and reconstruction began in 1983. The reopening took place together with Rürupsmühle in March 1984 and the baking oven was also rebuilt true to the original. The oven has a flat vault with two smoke openings to a smoke channel above the vault, which ends in a chimney at the front above the oven mouth. From there, the smoke is discharged through an adjacent chimney. The oven was renovated in the summer of 1999.

The timbered woodshed next to the bakehouse is used to store the firewood. The special design of the infill serves to ensure good ventilation for drying the wood. It consists of oak stakes in the upper row and bricks set in gaps in the two lower rows.

The timbered granary previously stood in Bennien near Spenge. Due to the necessary changes and additions during reconstruction, the original structure has not been preserved. It was built in 1997/98 and serves as a recreation building for visitor groups. Guests are also catered for here.
The Stork farmhouse previously stood in Öttinghausen near Herford. It was built in 1727 by master craftsman Niestrat. It is a Low German hall house - Durchgangsdeelenhaus - with an open hearth fire without a chimney - Rauchhaus- . The house was dismantled in October 1983 and rebuilt true to the original at the mill pond. It was reopened in September 1985 and has been used as a harvesting and threshing house ever since. Visitors are also catered for in this house. The stables are used by goats and chickens.
