The almost 14-kilometre-long hiking trail leads on a circular route through the forests of the southern Eggegebirge mountains in the area of the historic Marschallshagen glassworks.

The circular route in the southern Eggegebirge mountains leads you along historic paths around the former Marschallshagen glassworks not far from the Lichtenau district of Holtheim.

Shady, cool deciduous and coniferous forests characterize the landscape and make hiking an experience for nature lovers. There are always beautiful views and plenty of variety for the eye, while numerous huts along the way provide ample opportunity for a leisurely rest.

In the 19th century, the Marschallshagen glassworks was an important glass producer and employer in the former district of Büren

Coming from Paderborn, take the B68 to the center of Lichtenau, where you turn into Husener Str.. Then turn left into Holtheimer Str. and follow this road to Am Lipsberg, where you will reach your destination.
