1. HISTORICAL SPA PARK BAD MEINBERG WITH SPA THEATRE
The 6.25-hectare historical spa park is one of the oldest mineral and mud spas in Germany. The park was laid out in the late Baroque period from 1767 and features a fountain temple and the spa theater, which seats 698 people.
2. WERREQUELLE
The Werre rises near Wehren, a district of Horn- Bad Meinberg, and flows through the Bad Meinberg spa park. It passes Detmold, Lage and meets the Bega in Bad Salzuflen. After 69 km, it flows into the Weser at Bad Oeynhausen. The Werre has a length of 71.9 km and is the second largest tributary of the Upper Weser after the Diemel.
3. WASSERSCHLOSS BEI REELKIRCHEN
Reelkirchen Castle was founded in the 16th century by Hermann VIII von Mengersen and is surrounded by moats. The courtyard side of the building is half-timbered. Today, the castle serves as a historical location for experimental art and cultural projects, which also take place away from the metropolitan areas. Exhibitions, lectures, concerts and other events are organized, not only in the moated castle Reelkirchen, but also in the surrounding region.
4. HISTORICAL TOWN CORE BLOMBERG
Blomberg was probably founded between 1231 and 1255 and has a historic town center with around 250 well-preserved half-timbered buildings. Important buildings include the castle, the town fortifications, the town hall, the former monastery church and the old office building.
