Beautiful and varied tour through Rheda-Wiedenbrück's surroundings, offering insights into the medieval architecture of the manor houses, impressive countryside and idyllic farming communities.

The tour starts at the "Jägerheim", a small privately run hotel. Those who love nature will get their money's worth here, as the route leads through the Stadtholz, a varied and popular local recreation area.

The route continues past the fields and meadows of the Bokeler Dorfheide. Enjoy the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle.

The first highlight of the tour is the magnificent Haus Aussel, a former manor house that impresses with its beautiful location and unusual architecture. Now over 400 years old, the renovated building is one of the finest examples of woodcarving art and features richly decorated half-timbering.

Once again in the saddle, the route now leads through the small farming communities of Batenhorst and St. Vit with its magnificent baroque church. The route continues through the Marburg area to another architectural highlight - Haus Bosfeld, a small castle. After numerous changes of ownership, it belongs to the princely family of Bentheim-Tecklenburg and served as the residence of the princely family for a long time.

Continue your journey towards Rheda - numerous pretty farmhouses can be found in the northernmost farming community of Rheda-Wiedenbrück.

Crossing the River Ems, you soon reach the impressive Schledebrück estate, which is over 900 years old, where you should rest your eyes on the wayside shrine at the portal, as it documents a piece of the farm's history.

After just two kilometers, the route now takes you to the picturesque Linteler See lake and, if you are lucky, you can admire sailors and surfers here before heading back to your starting point.
