Idyllic mental

Once you have left the highway bridge behind you, you come to the Puttenholz forest area. Watch the sun peeking through the shady trees. The highlight of this route is certainly the idyllic Mental. Follow the narrow paths of the Menne through the lush meadows and enjoy the peace and quiet. Past the quarry, the route leads through the Ottensgrund between fields and meadows back to Haaren.

Getting there

A44 Dortmund-Kassel, junction Bad Wünnenberg-Haaren, then continue on the B480 towards Bad Wünnenberg. Take the Büren exit in the direction of Fürstenberg/Haaren and follow the signs to Haaren. In Haaren, turn left into "Wewelsburger Straße", then right into "Nordstraße".

A33 Bielefeld/Brilon, exit at the Bad Wünnenberg-Haaren junction, then continue on the B480 towards Bad Wünnenberg. Take the Büren exit in the direction of Fürstenberg/Haaren and follow the signs to Haaren. In Haaren, turn left into "Wewelsburger Straße", then right into "Nordstraße".

On the B480 coming from Brilon, take the Haaren exit and follow the signs to Haaren. In Haaren, turn left into "Wewelsburger Straße", then right into "Nordstraße".

Parking

Free parking is available at the sports field in Norstraße.
Further parking spaces are available at the Volksbank in Haaren.

Public transportation

By train to Paderborn main station; from there by bus in the direction of Bad Wünnenberg, bus line R11 or R10, bus stop "Volksbank" in Haaren.
