Directions

Your tour starts at the entrance to the LWL open-air museum in Detmold. From there, you first walk through the museum grounds along the Münsterländer Gräftenhof. Next, you walk past the poorhouse across the museum grounds to the Bock windmill just before the Paderborn village. Just a few steps later, you enter the Paderborn village with its smithy and the Valepagenhof. From here, you can make a short stop at the museum bakery to the left of the village pond. The route continues to the museum restaurant "Im Weißen Ross". You can also take a break here. On your way back through the museum, the route takes you past the Uhlmann house, the historic petrol station and the observation tower to the Kappen windmill. Here you follow the path past the Westhellweghof to the exit of the museum. From there, your route now takes you directly to the Hermannsdenkmal. Here, too, you have the opportunity to make a stopover, for example at the eagle observatory in Berlebeck, before you reach your destination.
