Wonderful taster tour on the Weser cycle path
On this entertaining tour, you follow the well-known and popular Weser cycle route R 99 on both sides of the Weser. The special highlight: the Weser crossing with the passenger yaw rope ferry.

Before you cross the Weser in Wehrden, the Höxter-Godelheim leisure centre and the idyllic Nethe estuary are well worth a short break. After crossing the river on the small ferry, you can enjoy a relaxing ride back to Höxter. Halfway along the route, we recommend you park your bike and follow the forest path on foot to the Fürstenberg porcelain factory. From there, you not only have a fantastic view of the Weserbergland, but can also learn a lot about fine tableware in the museum.

For navigation, you can also find the route on outdooractive.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

If you would like to take the opportunity to visit the museum in Fürstenberg Castle on the way back, it is best to leave your bike at the Fürstenberg steamer landing stage and follow the short but steep forest path. It's worth the effort, as you will be rewarded with a marvellous view of the Weser valley from the castle courtyard
