The Westheim access trail is just under 4 kilometers long and takes you up to the Eggeweg.

You start in tranquil Westheim, which is easy to reach thanks to the train connection. After a short walk through the town, this access route takes you across fields and meadows up to the Eggeweg trail, although you should not underestimate the 159 meters of elevation gain.

Directions

The first part of the route takes you on asphalt roads through the village of Westheim. Once you have left the residential area behind you, farmhouses line your path. The route continues on wide gravel paths and through small woods until you reach the ridge of the Egge.

Equipment

We recommend good hiking boots for this tour.

A-44 exit 63-Marsberg onto B7 in the direction of Brilon/Diemelsee, turn left onto Kasseler Straße/B7
