Background information on the Hansa Trail

The 75 km Hansa Trail was awarded the title "Quality Trail Hikeable Germany" in 2012. The trail runs from the town of Herford via Bad Salzuflen, Lemgo, Dörentrup, Extertal, Aerzen to the Pied Piper town of Hameln.

The second stage of the Hansa Trail leads along magnificent views of the natural landscapes of the Lippe Mountains, to the Hühnerwiem and Salzufler Bismarck Tower, as well as through vast woodland and forest areas. Hiking in forests is particularly good for your well-being. The steady movement, breathing in and out clean forest air and a healthy diet help to reduce stress and promote relaxation.
