Walking clockwise along the path marked with a tree and an F on a yellow background, we soon reach an idyllic floodplain forest, which we cross partly on wooden footbridges:
The wooden walkways can be very slippery in wet weather
After the wild boar enclosure, we reach the forester's ponds, from whose banks we can observe water birds. The rest of the trail offers us plenty of shady forest and we soon reach another game reserve where, with a bit of luck, we may see roe deer.
Further on, we pass the restaurant on the Landwehrweg and can enjoy several beautiful views of Lemgo. The Landwehrweg follows the medieval land defenses that were built around Lemgo to protect the Lemgoer Mark from predatory gangs until the Thirty Years' War. We then soon turn right and head downhill on a path through the forest towards the town.
Turning right again, we reach Staff Park, an oasis of wildflowers and nature, which is also adorned with works of art: who the hell is this "Vector" and why is it closed from January 1 to December 31?
At the end of the tour, we reach our parking lot at the Heitkämpen again.
