Cycle tours through Espelkamp's beautiful countryside, mostly flat and well-maintained, low-traffic paths invite you to get active. Get on your bike and off you go.

Espelkamp is located just a few kilometers from the state border between North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony. The destination is the village of Diepenau in Lower Saxony. Starting in the center of Espelkamp, the route leads through the colourful Burano district and Brandenburger Ring to Hexenhügel and Osterwald. Quiet forest and field paths then take you to the state border and the beautiful Maringen Diek landscape lake. Passing the Danielskirche church dating back to 1641, you reach the town center. A lovingly restored railroad station now serves as a wedding station for those wanting to get married and is a special location. The cycle path now leads to the large stone in Tonnenheide, where baking days are held regularly. You can stop for refreshments at a nearby inn and further along the route in Schmalge. You return to the starting point through the area of the renaturalized Kleine Aue and past the colourful facades of Schweriner Straße.
