Follow the course of the Murmecke river to the Aabach dam. Today, the dam supplies around ¼ million people in the region with fresh drinking water. Until the end of the 1970s, the old Aamühle mill - also known as "Bumbams Mühle" - was located here. The mill and inn, which was still inhabited at the time, was a popular destination for day-trippers. However, it had to be burnt down to flood the dam. The route continues past the reservoir and through the valley of the Große Aa to Schützenwiese. Here you can enjoy a great view of the Aa houses before returning to the starting point.
