Directions

The tour starts in the city center on a route of around 5 km at the first station of the Böckstiegel Trail at the cemetery in Werther. From there, it goes through the historic town center past the town hall through the Mühlenwiese to Haus Werther.

Originally, the estate was a manor, which was inhabited by the "Lords of Werther". From 1817, the district administrator and mayor's office was based there and was owned by the zur Hellen family. From 1887, the building was used commercially for the manufacture and sale of imported cigars. Today, the HAUS WERTHER community center is a cultural meeting place for young and old. From there, those interested in culture and hikers can experience Böckstiegel's history at other stations. The Peter August Böckstiegel Museum is located at station 13.
The end of the trail is the watermill in Deppendorf.
