From storks to deer - a very special experience for hiking enthusiasts that brings the natural and cultural landscape of Lippe to life in an impressive way. This approximately 18-kilometre hiking tour starts in Donop and continues through the picturesque villages of Großmarpe and Bega to Dörentrup and Schwelentrup, a little paradise for nature lovers.
Start is early in the morning at Kronenplatz in Detmold (8:40), from where you can easily reach the hiking route by bus Brautlacht. New paths unfold and the senses are invigorated as the landscape reveals itself in all its glory. Along the way, wide fields and dense forests invite you to take a deep breath and let your mind wander, while magical views are waiting to be discovered.
A highlight of the tour is a visit to the idyllic Forellenhof Schwelentrup, where regional specialties await travellers in a rustic ambience. This stop rounds off the nature experience with culinary delights and offers a welcome opportunity to take a break.
The hike is organized by the experienced guides Annegret and Helmut Sommer, who will guide you through the day with exciting anecdotes and valuable tips. The return journey takes place at around 16:00 on the Brautlacht bus back to Detmold.
