It deals with issues such as the housing and famine after the war or the "hoarding" and "kunstgeln" for a living. The costs of the occupation for the citizens of Lübbecke and the development of the relationship between the British soldiers and the German population are just as much a topic as the significance of the honorary citizenship of the town of Lübbecke for the British armed forces.
It is shown how former enemies became friends. In addition to photos and documents, there are interviews with contemporary witnesses and a short film clip about the end of the occupation.
The guided tour begins at 3 p.m. in the Culture and Media Center on the market square and lasts around one and a half hours.
