Lecture on the topic of relief amount for people in need of care and relatives

Some people need more support in their everyday lives than others. These are
for example people with an illness, a disability or older people.
Many of these people are in need of care. In order to remain in their own home,
they need support - especially from their relatives.
Since caring for relatives can be very stressful,
care insurance
provides money to help relatives and those in need of care.
This money is called a relief amount. People in need of care and their relatives can use this money to
finance offers of support in everyday life. The relief amount is 131 euros per month. You are entitled to it from care level 1. It must be settled with the care insurance fund.

Offering support in everyday life can take place both at home and outside the home. The aim is to relieve the burden on family caregivers and enable people in need of care to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
The services offer:

- Care and companionship for the person in need of care during leisure activities,
having conversations, going to the doctor together, running errands together
- Relief for family carers by helping to organize
care, help with filling out forms, information about other assistance
- support with household tasks such as shopping
for groceries, washing clothes, cleaning the home, walking the dog, taking care of flowers.
