A very special event awaits hikers on August 7: "Counting ponds today" in the picturesque region around Detmold-Hiddesen and Pivitsheide. This exciting hike of around 18 kilometers starts at 8:40 am at Kronenplatz in Detmold. The return is at around 3:30 pm from Pivitsheide V.H. on the Brautlacht bus - an experience that is sure to be unforgettable.
The route leads through the idyllic Lippe countryside, lined with a multitude of ponds, which are the focus of attention on this day. Annegret and Georg Jenkner, experienced guides, lead this fascinating discovery tour and share their in-depth knowledge of the local flora and fauna. In the midst of nature, participants have the unique opportunity to experience the importance of this ecosystem up close.
The crowning finale is a stop at the comfortable SuS clubhouse in Pivitsheide, where regional specialties and a warm atmosphere invite you to linger. Heinrich Heine's verse lines "Heaven preserve you, brave people..." resound in the background and remind us that such experiences enrich the soul.
