From the old cemetery to the botanical garden

A cultural and historical monument of a special kind - Minden's old cemetery with its botanical garden contains around 5.5 hectares of precious green space and has become the burial place of many famous personalities from Prussian Minden. An important part of Minden's history can be found in the Old Cemetery, with roots dating back to the Middle Ages: from old aristocratic families and highly decorated military officers to mayors, artists and merchants, a reflection of 19th century Minden society is buried in the Old Cemetery.Let your tour guide take you around the spacious grounds and learn more about the history.
