Ex-fox crook Nick Wilde (voice in the original: Jason Bateman) and rookie policewoman Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) have solved the biggest case in the history of Zoomania to date and now want to continue their unusual collaboration as new partners. But this is by no means a sure-fire success and the two are at odds with each other. Chief Bogo (Idris Elba) therefore sends the two of them to the "Partners in Crisis" therapy program. But it doesn't take long for the duo to stumble straight into a real case and their next adventure. The venomous snake Gary De'Snake (Ke Huy Quan) appears in the animal metropolis and causes chaos and panic, as such a dangerous reptile has not been seen in the city for many years. Nick and Judy want to find out what it's all about and have to go on a dangerous undercover mission in corners of Zoomania that even they are unfamiliar with.
