In 2025, one of the greatest opera singers of all time would have celebrated his 90th birthday: Luciano Pavarotti. In memory of this unforgotten artist, three exceptional singers of our time would like to celebrate their great idol and perform the wonderful arias and songs that made Luciano Pavarotti famous - one hundred percent live and without microphones. Works by Verdi, Puccini and Donizetti are just as much a part of the program as popular Italian canzonas. The selected titles include "Nessun dorma", "'O sole mio", "Caruso", "La donna è mobile", "Torna a Surriento", "E lucevan le stelle", "Funiculì, Funiculà", "Vesti la giubba", "Mamma", "Granada" and many more.
From Germany, Spain and Italy come the three powerful singers who want to commemorate the tenor of the century musically. Dortmund's Johannes Groß is the head and founder of the German Tenors and is considered by many to be one of the last heroic tenors of our time.
Orchestral accompaniment will be provided by keyboard virtuoso Claudia Hirschfeld, who created a musical tribute to Pavarotti in 2017 with the title "Luciano" to mark the 10th anniversary of his death, which has since been awarded several prizes at composition competitions worldwide . A renowned presenter will reflect on the varied life of Luciano Pavarotti with stories and anecdotes.
