Frieda Braun: Speech pause

Many people know her from the ARD Ladies Night and from her tours with Gerburg Jahnke: Frieda Braun now has fans in many regions of Germany. Now the quirky Sauerland native is presenting her solo program "Sprechpause".

Frieda and her "splinter group" - a total of 11 seasoned women - have decided to spend seven days in a hostel this year instead of a city tour.

However, the silent seminar, intended as an inner retreat, proves to be a test of nerves for Frieda. Even the overly healthy breakfast with goat's cheese and a mysterious "seed mixture" is met with disbelief. When loud stomach noises shatter the silence during the subsequent meditation, her concentration is shattered.

Burst: Thekla's rendezvous

Frieda's friend Thekla uses the week of silence to deal with a personal disappointment: During a concert by the idolized star violinist André Rieu, she fell in love with a stranger in the audience. But the tender bonds are abruptly broken when "Horst" throws himself into an armchair with his beloved, which proves to be an inferior plagiarism from China when put to the test.

Collected: Wichbert's driver's license

While their wives devote themselves to keeping quiet, Erwin and the other retarded husbands use their free time to pursue their hobbies. Wichbert, who has had his driver's license revoked after a "two-component fault" in traffic, is driven by the desire to bring more mobility into the house. He even tampers with the Christmas crib.

Erotic: an evening at Viola's

Viola, Frieda's new neighbor, takes the erotic film "Fifty shades of grey" as an opportunity to surprise Frieda and her unsuspecting friends with a hot evening. One thing is clear to the women: "Our men mustn't find out about this".

Frieda also approaches the topic of eroticism in the Sprechpause program with her own delicious mixture of curiosity, embarrassment and indignation.

Big feet and devastating haircuts, sticky magnetic field soles and curious vacuum cleaner robots, men in lingerie stores and women in the grip of skillful saleswomen: Frieda Braun's program "Sprechpause" is an entertaining and varied foray into (only sometimes exaggerated) everyday situations.
