Doris wants to fly high, away from her small-town provincial world.
Any means will do. In Berlin in the early 1930s, a city on the move, she uses various male acquaintances and a stolen fur coat to achieve her goal: to become a star.
A staged, humorous and serious monologue about life, survival and love in a production by the Kleines Theater Rehme based on the novel by Irmgard Keun and adapted for the stage by Gottfried Greiffenhagen, Johannes-Paul Kindler and Mandy Fuchs. A milestone in literature, published in 1932, banned and burned by the National Socialists in 1933.
Cast: Mandy Fuchs as Doris, with Thorsten Wolfersdorf and Björn Bockfeld as musical accompanist.
