On mothers-in-law and other plagues

Patience is truly not her strong point and so Daphne de Luxe brings a
new program to the stage with "GEDULDSPROBEN" that could hardly be more authentic and amusing. "Von
Schwiegermüttern und anderen Plagen" (Of
mothers-in-law and other plagues) quickly gives you an idea of who is the focal point of this
comedy program: the mother-in-law. She has recently moved into the house with us and brings
in the truest sense of the word many a "charming" situation with her and the "Barbie in XL-
format" on the proverbial palm.

But she is not the only one who plagues Daphne de Luxe in her existence and so the
master of self-irony muses in "Patience Trials" about the sense & nonsense of funny habits
and the oddities of getting older, philosophizes about people in general
and amusingly discusses situations that seriously test
her patience. Because they are lurking everywhere: at the doctor's, in the supermarket, at the
authorities or in the virtual world.

When Daphne de Luxe presents the challenges of her everyday life in a humorous way,
it's hardly surprising that the biblical plagues almost seem like a trifle
in comparison.

In her fifth comedy program, the humorist once again impresses with her very
special blend of stylish performance, amusing entertainment, tongue-in-cheek
self-irony, cabaret depth, unconditional authenticity and touching
singing. New songs and anecdotes, plenty of humor and self-irony provide mercilessly
